Betty impulsively asks her orthodontist, Dr. Farkas, to be her date when Henry insists she come to Charlie's birthday party. Meanwhile, Wilhelmina tries to drive a wedge between Daniel and Alexis when Daniel hides the fact that he's the one who hired Grace Chin to defend their dad -- whom Alexis wants to fry -- and Amanda catches the eye of a very unusual designer who declares she's his "muse." on "Ugly Betty."

Guest stars include Lucy Liu as Grace Chin, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Dr. Farkas, Christopher Gorham as Henry and Jayma Mays as Charlie.

American Idol Finale Recap!

Did ya guys catch American Idol Finale last Friday? For those of you who missed it,here's a recap of what happened on the show:

Singer: Blake Lewis
Song: "You Give Love a Bad Name"
The judges say: Randy gives him a 10-out-of-10 for beatboxing, but says the singing was merely aight. Paula, floating in the clouds tonight, gives him a 10-plus-10-plus-10. Simon says Blake isn't their best singer, but he's the best performer, adding that the singing was a bit flat in places.

Singer: Jordin Sparks
Song: "Fighter"
The judges say: Randy asks her to check it out and tells her that this was an interesting night for him. He wasn't necessarily entertained, but he thought her voice was stellar. "Stellar" is a new word for Paula, so she repeats it. Simon likes that she chose a younger song, but calls the vocals shrieky. He gives Round One to Blake. Paula says nothing. Randy meaninglessly gives the performance edge to Blake and the vocal edge to Jordin.

Singer: Blake Lewis
Song: "She Will Be Loved"
The judges say: Randy thought it was a great song and a very nice vocal. Paula, who really should have been given the night off tonight since she has a totally legit excuse to be swimming on painkillers, giggles, stutters and finally says that Blake sounded relaxed. Simon calls it good, safe and not as good as the first performance.

Singer: Jordin Sparks
Song: "A Broken Wing"
The judges say: Randy says that age ain't got nothing to do with it and that she was flawless and better than the original. Paula announces Jordin looks great and was in fine vocal voice tonight. Simon says it was good. I believe we can safely say that Round Two goes to Jordin.

Singer: Blake Lewis
Song: "This Is My Now"
The judges say: Randy says he did a pretty good job and he doesn't have to feel bad about it. Paula thinks he did a great job. Simon found it a little odd, observing that it isn't the kind of song he'd normally sing.

Singer: Jordin Sparks
The judges say: Randy tries protesting that this is a singing competition and she was the night's best singer. Paula calls her an angel. Simon didn't think Jordin was good enough to make the finals, but he says that he was wrong. Then he also mentions that it's a singing competition and she wiped the floor with Blake. Randy gives the night to Jordin. Paula has no opinion. Simon says Blake had the night's best performance, but Jordin won overall.

Results show:
74 million votes were cast. Ryan feigns no closeness to the vote. Randy picks Jordin. Paula's proud of both of them and that they're both winners. Simon congratulates Jordin.

Paula's wrong. They're not both winners. The winner is...

Hi ya peeps! Looks like tonight's a 'stay home' night because we got LOADS of interesting programs for you,only on 8TV!

We'll start off with Ugly Betty. Last week's episode we found out that Daniel's so-called 'dead' brother is baaaack,only this time he underwent MASSIVE surgery and has changed himself into a hot,drop-dead gorgeous woman! And get this, he's now called 'Alexis' instead of 'Alex'.Yikes! O_o

Ugly Betty-9.30pm
In tonight's episode, Alexis's shocking announcement leaves Mode in chaos and the dysfunctional Meades at each other's throats. Meanwhile, Betty tries to keep the peace and Wilhelmina plots her next move.

Betty is in for even more turmoil in her love life, as Henry asks her out while Walter tells her he's got a big surprise in store. Back at home, Hilda is miffed when Santos gets involved after Justin is sent home from school for fighting.

Guest stars include Christopher Gorham as Henry, Judith Light as Claire Meade, Kevin Alejandro as Santos and "Project Runway" design guru Tim Gunn as the Fashion TV reporter.

Desperate Housewives Yr.3 -10.30pm
It's the grand opening of the Scavo pizzeria and all of the residents of Wisteria Lane come out for the celebration. Too bad one will meet his or her maker!
In tonight's episode,we'll also learn a little more about Orson's childhood. On another note,Mike and Ian receive items from the hospital and Ian won't be too pleased at what he finds!

Trivia: In most of the promotional shots for Season 1, Nicolette Sheridan wasn't included because the producers and marketing teams felt that Edie Britt's character was mainly a supporting role.But after she gained a huge fanbase they decided to have her face on all the Desperate Housewives promotional kits.

The Performance:

Singer: Melinda Doolittle
Song: "Love You Inside and Out"
The Judges Say: It was solid for Randy, but he isn't convinced she's in it to win it. Paula's at a loss to critique her, except to say that Melinda didn't make her go "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa." Simon expected incredible, but he says it was more of a backing vocal performance.

Singer: Blake Lewis
Song: "You Should Be Dancing"
The Judges Say: You know what's really interesting for Randy is that the song didn't need the beatboxing. Randy is just being honest and keeping it real in saying that it made the song corny. Paula thought the song was shaky and that the beatboxing made the performance. Simon thought it was absolutely terrible and he gets booed by the crowd before finishing his comments.

Singer:LaKisha Jones
Song: "Stayin' Alive"
The Judges Say: Randy wonders where the melody went. Paula thinks that LaKisha wrecked the tempo of the song and harshed her buzz. "Well, LaKisha, no kiss tonight," says Simon, before panning the performance.

Singer: Jordin Sparks
Song: "To Love Somebody"
The Judges Say: Randy says it was the best vocal so far, which would be hard to argue with. Unlike Melinda, Jordin's in it to win it. Paula clarifies that it was night's best vocal. Simon agrees and says we're back in the competition.

Singer: Melinda Doolittle
Song: "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart"
The Judges Say: The second song was much better for Randy, who instructs her that she knows she's got it going on. Paula warns Melinda that as great as her technique is, vocals aren't everything. Simon says that the second half of the song will put her into the semi-finals. Are we calling next week the semi-finals now?

Singer: Blake Lewis
Song: "This Is Where I Came In"
The Judges Say: Randy's not jumping up and down and tells him that not every joint requires the beatboxing. Paula says that if he can, he can. She says he's the contemporary rebel in this competition. Simon doesn't know why he chose the song and he doesn't think he had a good night.

Singer: LaKisha Jones
Song: "Run to Me"
The Judges Say: Randy and Paula both tell her she was OK and not to beat herself up over the bum note. Simon says better, but not good enough before getting rushed off to commercial. I'm not sure why this week's show was so poorly paced.

Singer: Jordin Sparks
Song: "Woman in Love"
The Judges Say: Randy thought it was pitchy and not her best, but you know what was cool for Randy? That Barry Gibb wrote good songs. Paula shakes her head and tells her she loves Jordin anyway. Simon thought it was old-fashioned and pageanty. I'm disappointed that the closing montage isn't presented in accelerated Chipmunks style.

Howdy peeps! Did ya guys manage to catch last week's American Idol & last night's episode of So You Think You Can Dance? Maaaaan..we finally narrowed down our Top 20! Woohoo!but who exactly are these top 20 contestants? Well,to find out more about them,tune into next week's special episode of 'Getting To Know The Top 20 of SYTYCD'! Don't miss it! If you didn't get to watch last week's American Idol and you're probably wondering who didn't do so well with latin music and was eliminated,here's a recap:

Singer: Melinda Doolittle
Song: "Sway"
The Judges Say: Randy asks people to check him out and warns that this wasn't her best, but still solid. Paula found it sultry and smooth. Last week, if you'll recall, Simon said he was worried that they wouldn't get to say anything bad about Melinda this season, so naturally he begins, "It had to happen, Melinda. I didn't like it." He says that at this stage, Melinda needs the "Wow!" factor and even calls it lazy and wooden. He's so clearly going for pointless criticism that it's impossible to take him seriously. Melinda smartly observes that Simon wanted to say something bad and she's glad he got the chance. In my opinion, she disagrees without seeming cocky. Others will disagree.

Singer: LaKisha Jones
Song: "Conga"
The Judges Say: Randy raves that LaKisha was having fun and that she made it her own. Paula, however, thought it was a safe performance. LaKisha disagrees with Paula, but Simon thinks it was a performance song, but not a singing song.

Singer: Chris Richardson
Song: "Smooth"
The Judges Say: Randy liked that Chris did his thing. Paula thought it was hot and calls Chris sexy. It wasn't best vocal Simon has ever heard, but he preferred it to LaKisha and Melinda.

Singer: Haley Scarnato
Song: "Turn the Beat Around"
The Judges Say: Randy thought it was karaoke. Paula thinks Haley had fun. Simon endorses Haley's Clothing Depletion strategy, as does the cameraman, who lovingly pans from shoes to hair. Simon complains, then, about the vocals being rushed. Haley resists the temptation to tell Simon to stop sexually harassing her.

Singer: Phil Stacey
Song: "Maria, Maria"
The Judges Say: Randy wanted more passion. Paula liked the vocals except for the parts where she didn't. Simon found it lifeless and flat.

Singer: Jordin Sparks
Song: "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You"
The Judges Say: Randy says she's got the "Yo!" factor. Paula thinks Jordin is authentic and having a great time. Simon's not feeling tonight at all and he's wondering why the night hasn't had a progression.

Singer: Blake Lewis
Song: "I Need to Know"
The Judges Say: Randy loved the song choice and the performance. Paula thought it captured Blake's essence. Simon thought it was the night's best performance.

Singer: Sanjaya Malakar
Song: "Besa me Mucho"
The Judges Say: Randy says it was actually really good and calls Sanjaya one of the smartest contestants. Paula is also amused and positive. "I couldn't understand a word of it," Simon says, before raving that "It wasn't horrible."

Results Show:

How do you solve a problem like a 60-minute American Idol results show when you only have 30 seconds of substance?

Host Ryan Seacrest kicks off the show with a dire threat about its hour-long running time. No need to rub it in, Seacrest. He attempts to initiate conversation with the judges about Tuesday's show, but Paula Abdul stifles any discussion by getting a giggle fit over whether or not Latin Night let her see different sides to the contestants.

The evening's group-sing (please let it be the only one) is somewhat to the tune of "Bailamos." Somebody needs to slap the mad genius who paired Haley and Sanjaya for one spectacularly tone-deaf early verse and then take out other super-villain who decided that parts of the song would be best served by having Phil wail atonally over the melody. LaKisha, Melinda and Chris look like there are places they'd rather be. Jordin and Blake are a bit more engaged and this is, finally, the ideal venue for Future Theme Park Snow White Haley.

The Idol trivia question asks us to remember which contestant sung with Meatloaf in last season's finale. I miss Katherine McPhee. Haley-tosis has been a poor substitute for McPheever.

In a newish filler segment, Ryan Seacrest goes out to the Farmer's Market (Idol tapes next door, so he didn't have to go far) and interviews people about the previous night's performances. He just happens to find girls wandering around with signs showing support for Blake. The stand-outs are the bald beefy guy who says he caught Haley's skimpy costume, the guy with the Crab Man 'fro who liked LaKisha and the little girl doing the Blake dance.

Mama Akon didn't raise no dummy. Noticing the sales boost he got from his on-air Idol teaming with Gwen Stefani just two weeks ago, Acorn is back, this time to sleepwalk through "Don't Matter." He's comically uninterested in singing and he sacrifices music and rhythm to flirt with the gals in the front row.

In footage from his trip to Africa, Simon introduces us to cute little Caroline and to the concept of a School-in-a-Box. I've sworn that I won't make fun of Idol Gives Back and I'm not going to start here. As for the African children mocking Simon's man-boobs? Well, I guess that's family-friendly TV.

In previously unseen audition footage, the judges tell Tony Bennett, pretending to be 39, that he can't sing. It isn't vaguely funny. Now if the judges had told Acorn that he can't sing, that would have been worth the time.

Celebrity Latina Eva Longoria is in the audience. Since FOX has a paucity of on-air Latin talent, they've apparently had to go outside of the network. That's sad.

Following a recap of last night, Melinda says that she respected Simon's criticisms. With whistles in the background, Haley admits that Simon's objectifying comments hurt her a little and she warns viewers that she doesn't plan to wear anything completely inappropriate. Perhaps, then, this actually is the correct time to see her off. Blake admits that he uses his tattoos Prison Break-style to remember the words.

Time to pull the Bottom Three: Phil's up first and he goes straight to the Bottom Three. While some online pundits predicted she might be in trouble, LaKisha's safe, as is Jordin. Ryan makes Sanjaya stand and then seats him immediately, moving on to Melinda, who's also safe. To nobody's surprise, Haley bats her eyelashes and goes to join Phil. Ryan tells Sanjaya to stand and then seats him again, calling on Blake, who earns audience squeals and returns to safety. Sanjaya stands again, this time with Chris. In a pseudo-shocker that earns audience boos, Chris is the third member of the Bottom Three. Credit Chris with seeming properly amused by his temporary demotion.

Chris' time in the Bottom Three didn't last long. On a scale of 1-to-10 for nervousness, Haley gives this experience an "Oh my God."

Everybody loved working with J-Lo. J-Lo's great. Three cheers for J-Lo. This is a good feature, because the celebrity mentors don't get enough puffery as is. I can't bring myself to dislike a beautiful woman who uses the phrase "pop a squat." It's a bit like at the Golden Globes when Helen Mirren said she was glad she didn't fall "ass-over-tit."

Somebody should still tell J-Lo that she accidentally came onto the stage in her silk bathrobe. Her performance, backed by licking flames, is vaguely redolent of an El Pollo Loco commercial. It also makes me wonder what our Idol singers could do with a smoke machine, pyrotechnics and a dozen background singers doing the melody with them at all times. She's not a singer, but she's a star. J-Lo says she comes from the Paula School of Criticism and that everybody was great last night.

Who's going home? After more than 35 million votes were cast, Phil is safe. Haley and her collection of short-shorts are heading home. Gina had the perfect exit song last week with "Smile." Haley, however, has to recover her composure for the up-beat "Turn the Beat Around." Despite the emotion of the moment, she finds her smile and takes the song into the audience. She may break down later, but on-camera, she's a total pro.

The performances:

Singer: Blake Lewis
Song: "Mack the Knife"
The judges Say: Randy thinks it was a perfect song for his cool jazz vibe. Paula says he's a hep-cat and that he personified pizzazz. Simon gives Blake 7-out-of-10, but gives the band an eight.

Singer: Phil Stacey
Song: "Night and Day"
The judges say: Randy tells Phil that he didn't feel the passion (this after raving about raving about Blake's bubblegum spin on a serial killer). Paula compares Phil to a young Frank Sinatra. Simon is incredulous and asks which Frank Sinatra she's referring to. "I think it had all the joy of somebody singing in a funeral parlor," Simon says.

Singer: Melinda Doolittle
Song: "I've Got Rhythm"
The judges Say: Randy appreciates that Melinda gives America a vocal lesson every week. Paula calls it a masterclass. Then she rambles about things Melinda has in addition to rhythm. Simon thought the first half of the song was cabaret, but that the second half was great. He worries that they may not ever be able to criticize her.

Singer: Chris Richardson
Song: "Don't Get Around Much Anymore"
The judges Say: Randy says he blew it out, with a vengeance. Paula praises Chris for not compromising his artistic integrity. Simon found it believable and that he made it kind of hip.

Singer: Jordin Sparks
Song: "On a Clear Day"
The judges Say: Randy calls her da bomb and blurts, "I'm like what?!?! She's hot, America!" With Simon giggling to the side, Paula calls Jordin a magnet of joy. Simon liked the way she sounded, but cautions that she didn't make it young and current.

Singer: Gina Glocksen
Song: "Smile"
The judges Say: Randy calls it nice and controlled. Paula goes another step and dubs it flawless. Simon says that after the two girls who came before, Gina's vocals just weren't good enough.

Singer: Sanjaya Malakar
Song: "Cheek to Cheek"
The judges Say:Randy admits he can't comment on the vocals anymore, but he calls Sanjaya a true entertainer. Paula gets why people love Sanjaya. Simon responds with "Let's try a different tactic this week... Incredible." The contestant welcomes Simon to the Universe of Sanjaya.

Singer: Haley Scarnato
Song: "Ain't Misbehavin'"
The judges Say: Randy and Paula don't have much to say, passing it to Simon, who looks Haley up and down and declares, "I think you've got great legs."

Singer: LaKisha Jones
Song: "Stormy Weather"
The judges Say: It was da bomb for Randy. Paula raves about LaKisha's look and tone. Simon says she's back on form with a sassy, great performance.

Results show:
Melinda Doolittle? Brilliant, get over it all you "she's a boring troll" haters. Phil Stacey? Nice voice at times, but creepy. Haley Scarnato? Hot, but beauty pageant hot and probably a local beauty pageant, not a national pageant. LaKisha Jones? One note, but what a great note. Blake Lewis? Amusing, but overrated. Chris Richardson? Fun, but do we want to be listening to that nasally voice for another two months? Jordin Sparks? She's been called the dark horse by so many people that she's probably the favorite. Sanjaya Malakar? Learn to stop worrying and love the Sanjaya, America. Gina Glocksen? I left her for last because I keep forgetting her.

The contestants are divided into a trio of groups of three. One features Blake, Chris and Sanjaya. One features Jordin, Melinda and LaKisha. And the one in the middle has Haley, Phil and Gina. Gee. There's lots of suspense here, isn't there? Sigh. But Ryan has to spin his wheels for 30 minutes, so he sends the Jordin, Melinda and LaKisha group off to safety as the group of top votegetters. That's not surprising. And then he says that Blake, the immortal Sanjaya and Chris are the middle group. Also not surprising.

Unfortunately, while Tony Bennett was featured last night as a mentor, he was too sick to appear tonight, but that doesn't stop Ryan Seacrest from doing a plug for Bennett's Duets album. Mission accomplished, Tony. Now if only any of the contestants had listened to a shred of your somewhat doddering advice last night. Fortunately, Ryan has always enjoyed talking to and about his buddy Michael Buble and he was able to call in a favor. Buble does a bluesy (and boozy?) rendition of "Call Me Irresponsible" and he also gets to plug for an album that won't be released until May and he even makes a funny.

Completely dead-pan, he asks Ryan, "Am I wasting my votes by still voting for Antonella Barba?"

Our fearless host responds, without missing a beat, "Nah, I do the same thing."

Time to send one member of the Bottom Three to safety. The crowd wants Gina sent back, but Phil's actually the man. I'm already getting unhappy about this. Can we mention one more time how admirable and impressive Haley's legs are?

Randy is a bit surprised by both Haley and Gina facing elimination. Paula, teeth set on edge, says that it's tough at this stage and that they should both be proud of themselves. Simon isn't at all surprised.

After the season's highest vote, 33 million votes, Gina is this week's bootee. Haley is confused. The crowd is miserable. Jordin is in tears.

Bottom Line: We'd had a couple of rough weeks in Idol-land, a couple marginally premature eliminations that left some fans shaking their heads. In Stephanie Edwards, the season lost one of its best voices. In Chris Sligh, one of its most distinctive personalities got the boot.

While hardly a contender for the season's big title, Gina is probably the third straight contestant to go home slightly early, but her problem was in presentation. She put herself out there as a rocker, which wasn't where her vocal strength was. But even if she would have been swiftly eliminated on a real rock competition, the judges kept repeating she was supposed to rock. It didn't matter that her rendition of "Smile" was better than several of her more highly praised songs. It wasn't what fans were told they were supposed to want.

Given the time to make it through her entire exit song, Gina does herself proud with a touching and heartfelt encore.

Thoughts on this week's results? Surprised? Sad? Pragmatic?

Ugly Betty: Fake Plastic Snow - 9.30pm

It's Christmas time at Mode, as Betty questions her relationship with Walter and her feelings for Henry, the accountant.

Daniel, on the other hand, is sure of his love for Sofia (Salma Hayek), despite her doubt, and Marc frantically tries to win over Wilhelmina in fear of losing his life.

Meanwhile, Amanda vies for Betty's position as Daniel's new assistant by planning and executing a perfect Mode holiday party that fills the office with Styrofoam snow and holiday wishes.

Desperate Housewives Yr.3:The Miracle Song -10.30pm
As Susan and Ian get closer, they decide to take their relationship to the next level. Gaby has a new man in her life (played by Mark Deklin) - how will Carlos take the news?

Oooh ohhh! Did you guys manage to catch 'Grease 2' on 8TV last night? As you know,Grease (the original film with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John) was a resounding success back in 1978. Four years later, for some reason, the powers that be decided to make a sequel, aptly named Grease 2! As a sidenote - this film was originally going to be called Son of Grease. So glad they didn't do that.

For those who missed it,here's a summary of what the movie was all about:

Set again in Rydell High in the year 1961, we meet Sandy Olsson's gorgeous cousin Michael Carrington (played by the luscious Maxwell Caulfield), arriving at Rydell from England. He is staying with Sandy's parents and will be going to Rydell High school for his senior year. A straight "A" student, Michael is your typical nerd - bookish, quiet, well mannered and the type of bloke your mum would be glad you took home. At Rydell he meets up with Frenchy (again played by Didi Conn) who has promised Sandy that she will look after Michael. Yes, Frenchy dropped out of Rydell High in the first film in order to go to beauty school. And yes, she is back at Rydell as she failed beauty school when she dyed her own hair pink!

And so Michael settles in to life at Rydell, the all-singing all-dancing high school that I wanted to go to as a young child (if only I had known that high school was nothing like the films!). He has his little run-in with the T-Birds, led by Johnny Nogerelli (played by Adrian Zmed who also starred in T J Hooker with William Shatner). The T-Birds consist of Nogerelli, his second in command Goose Mackenzie (Christopher McDonald, also starred in Happy Gilmore and Star Trek the Next Generation), Louis Dimucci (Peter Frechette) and Davey Jaworski (Leif Green). He also meets the Pink Ladies. These are the girlfriends of the T-Birds and consist of Stephanie (Pfeiffer), Paulette Rebchuck (Lorna Luft), Sharon Cooper (Maureen Teefy who also starred in Supergirl and Fame), Rhonda Ritter (Alison Price) and Paulette's younger sister and wannabe pink lady Dolores Rebchuck (Pamela Segall).

Michael falls in love with Stephanie. It is not your typical boy meets girl scenario because Stephanie is a Pink Lady and as such can only "go steady" with a T-Bird. So Michael decides to make some money, get himself a motorbike, and get the girl by becoming a T-Bird himself.

Add to this the typical song and dance routines that are scattered throughout the film and you have to watch to find out if boy gets girl or if he just gets his behind kicked by the T-Birds or by Balmudo (the resident bad-guy, played by Dennis Stewart, who also played Leo in the original film).

Hi y'all! How was your weekend? Hope you had a good one! Well,I'm sure you've been following the American Idol episodes last week. For those of you who missed out on em',here's a quick recap:

Singer: Haley Scarnato
Song: "Tell Him"
Judges' take: Randy's enthusiastic, declaring this Haley's best performance, gushing that she has the "Yo!" factor. I guess that's a bit more dignified than "Girl, you got gams!" Paula praises her, um, girl-ish side (also clearly euphemistic). "You naughty little thing," Simon declares, thankfully shunning coy language and calling it fun, young and a bit shrieky. He warns that the people will be talking about more than her singing, which gets a teasing raised eyebrow from Haley.

Singer: Chris Richardson
Song: "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying"
Judges' take: Randy's feeling tonight, calling it beautiful. Paula, stealing from Randy's playbook, says Chris is in it to win it. Simon agrees that it was Chris' best.

Singer: Stephanie Edwards
Song: "You Don't Have To Say You Love"
Judges' Take: Randy thought it was pitchy and that she's a better up-tempo songs. Paula loved her outfit and the song, but contends that she isn't having enough fun. Simon asks how she thought she did. She replies "Well." Simon argues that it was a cabaret performance and that she's becoming too old.

Singer: Blake Lewis
Song: "Time of the Season"
Judges' Take: Randy is impressed with how current Blake made the song. Paula thinks Blake could release it and that he's raised the bar. Simon just calls it a million times better than last week. I feel like this is one Simon will listen to tonight and wonder why he was so enthusiastic.

Singer: LaKisha Jones
Song: "Diamonds are Forever"
Judges' Take: Randy didn't feel enough LaKisha (the audience boos, but he's right). Paula says absolutely nothing about the performance. Simon calls it "LaKisha in 50 years time."

Singer: Phil Stacey
Song: "Tobacco Road"
Judges' Take: Randy goes into his own falsetto, dubbing it pretty good. Paula liked hearing the various ranges of his voice. Simon wasn't crazy about it, calling it a "third division bar band performance," and lacking in sufficient grit to pull off the song. He warns that Phil may have a problem tomorrow.

Singer: Jordin Sparks
Song: "I (Who Have Nothing)"
Judges' Take: Randy knows it was a tall order, a raves that it was one of the best of the night. Paula's impressed with her range. "You sang it beautifully, but I felt like jumping off a bridge," Simon says.

Singer: Sanjaya Malakar
Song: "You Really Got Me"
Judges' Take: Randy is shocked and calls it Sanjaya best performance to date. Paula agrees. "I think the little girl's face says it all," Simon says, followed by a splendid eye-roll. Bring back Ashley next week! She's my favorite Idol fan.

Singer: Gina Glocksen
Song: "Paint It Black"
Judges' take: It was only aight for Randy, a bit pitchy in parts. Paula wants her to keep having fun and doing her thing. Simon found moments of complete torture, style over content. Gina gets defensive, but not lippy.

Singer: Chris Sligh
Song: "She's Not There"
Judges' Take: It started rough but improved for Randy. Paula wanted him to be even freer with the audience. Simon is curious what he could have done, but he thinks Chris did his thing.

Singer: Melinda Doolittle
Song: "As Long as He Needs Me"
Judges' Take:They saved the best for last for Randy. Paula thinks Melinda tells a story with a beginning, middle and end. Simon was initially bored, but thought Melinda brought it home sensationally.

Results show:
Stephanie's underwhelming performance of "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me" sends her packing.

So we're down to the top 10. You agree with America's choice tonight, or should Stephanie have stuck around?

Ugly Betty: Four Thanksgiving and a funeral - 9.30pm

It's Thanksgiving Day, and everyone at Mode celebrates in their own special way. Betty is torn between work and home; Daniel attends his parents' brunch in hopes of seeing Sofia (guest star Salma Hayek); Marc and Amanda camp out at the Mode offices, and Wilhelmina attempts something she's never done before - cooking a turkey.

Guest starring Salma Hayek as Sofia and Martha Stewart in a cameo appearance.

Desperate Housewives: Sweetheart,I have to confess - 10.30pm
After agonizing over her relationship with Mike, Susan finally admits that she is in love with Ian. Gaby and Carlos try once again to make things work between them. In the mean time,Carolyn Bigsby is back to accuse Orson of murdering his wife. The police question Mike about his phone number being written on the dead woman's hand while Bree finds herself snubbed by her former friends (not the Wisteria Lane ladies!)

News:In February 2007, it was reported that Cherry and key castmembers have been contracted until May 2011 (the end of the series' seventh season). Cherry indicated that he would like the show to run for at least seven seasons.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Been really busy with the So You Think You Can Dance auditions (keep a look out for the piccies k!) so I haven't been able to update y'all with the latest info on some of our hottest 8TV programs. A thousand apologies!

Now,where were we? ;)

Oh yes,did you guys manage to catch the first performance of the top 12 American Idol finalists last week? If you didn't,here's a recap of what had happened:

Singer: Brandon Rogers
Song: "Can't Hurry Love"
The Judges say: Randy loved the last two notes, but mostly tears Brandon to pieces. Did Paula get fresh collagen or something today? Her face looks extra-paralyzed, as she tells Brandon that he must have had nerves. Simon calls it a complete letdown, saying he came across as the background singer to a background singer.

Singer: Melinda Doolittle
Song: "Home"
The Judges say:Randy scores it 1-0 for the girls (Brandon was so bad the girls should get an extra point). Paula's bawling in true Season Three or Season Four fashion. Oye. She'd been so well-medicated this season. What happened? Simon says Melinda reminds him of a young Gladys Knight.

Singer: Chris Sligh
Song: "Endless Love"
The Judges say: Randy didn't like the arrangement of the song, which made the whole thing a mess for him. Paula took something at the break, because she's briefly coherent. Simon thinks Chris turned a beautiful song into a drone. "Even the boos are light," he says, when only a couple fans protest his opinion.

Singer: Gina Glocksen
Song: "Love Child"
The Judges say: Randy didn't feel any excitement. Paula thinks "Love Child" is a feel-good song and Gina's been better. Simon says he doesn't have much to say about the performance and then babbles for a couple minutes.

Singer: Sanjaya Malakar
Song: "Ain't No Mountain"
The Judges say:Randy's in the nervous giggle mode he got into with Kevin Covais last season, as if he's temporarily forgotten what show he'd judging and he knows nothing he says matters anyway. Paula loves Sanjaya's smile. "When you hear a wail in Beverly Hills, that is where Diana Ross is watching this show," Simon says, complimenting his bravery. Or maybe he said "When you hear a whale..." Sanjay was similarly perplexed.

Song: "Missing You"
The Judges say:Randy says that it was a valiant effort. Paula says Haley looks lovely. "I didn't think it was that bad," Simon says, saluting Haley's relative poise and presence. Haley's reaction -- half-tears, half-relief, half-who-knows-what -- is shockingly unreadable.

Singer: Phil Stacey
Song: "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me"
The Judges say:Randy gives him the male vocal of the night, which isn't saying much. Paula didn't like the song choice. Simon thought he was OK, but that he shouts the big notes instead of singing them.

Singer: LaKisha Jones
Song:"God Bless the Child"
The Judges say: Randy raves that it was sensational. Simon says some people don't have it, but she has it. He says -- correctly -- that LaKisha and Melinda are in a different league and I'd love to hear those two go head-to-head on this song.

Singer: Blake Lewis
Song: "You Keep Me Hanging On"
The Judges say: Randy says he's a huge fan, but Blake should have just sung. Paula praises Blake's arrangement at the expense of Chris Sligh's earlier effort. Simon didn't get it and says it wouldn't have worked outside of the context of the show.

Singer: Stephanie Edwards
Song: "Love Hangover"
The Judges say:Randy says she forgot some of the words, which I didn't notice. Paula joins Randy in waiting for the up-tempo part of the song. Simon says she chose the wrong song.

Singer: Chris Richardson
Song: "The Boss"
The Judges say:Randy thinks he over-did the runs and came out half-good/half-bad. Paula suggests it was the best of the Men. Simon says that if you took out Chris' charm and personality, the vocals were dreadful.

Singer: Jordin Sparks
Song: "If We Hold On Together"
The Judges say: Randy's impressed and argues that Jordin should be put up there with LaKisha and Melinda. Paula's happy too. Simon thought the song was gooey, but it was a very, very good vocal.

Results show:
The American Idol results show kicks off with a Diana Ross/Supremes medley that includes songs like "Baby Love," "Stop! In the Name of Love" and "Where Did Our Love Go?".

Seriously, I can't think of a finalists' performance show that was as uneven -- OK, downright weak -- as what this year's top 12 gave us this week. Where this show would be without the likes of Melinda, LaKisha and Jordin, I shudder to think.

Fortunately, the voters seem to agree that the competition needs those three women, as LaKisha, Jordin and Melinda all sail through to next week. A very chipper Ryan Seacrest quickly dispatches Brandon (not a big surprise) and Phil (a minor eyebrow-raiser; hey, at least he was on key) to the bottom three, but we have to wait a while to see if Haley or Sanjaya -- who, based on last night, probably both deserve to be on the block -- will join them.

Ross, who coached the singers this week, takes the stage for a live performance of her recent song "More Today Than Yesterday." She looks diva-rific and sounds pretty good too, but she and Seacrest get into a weird post-song banter where she just basically repeats whatever he says: "Your tour is coming up soon?" "Coming up soon." "Info's on your web site?" "On the web site."

Eventually, Sanjaya joins Phil and Brandon in the bottom three. Phil gets a reprieve, leaving the background singer and the impressively coiffed teenager to face being the first one played off to Chris Daughtry's song "Home."

The voters deem forgetting words a graver sin than missing notes, so Sanjaya gets to stay. Brandon is sanguine about his departure, saying he expected it after his gaffe last night.

That this week produced an all-male bottom three seems right, given the way the show has progressed thus far. And Sanjaya has got to be worried.

What's going on with Desperate Housewives,you ask? Here's the lowdown on last night's thrilling episode entitled 'Bang'.

Carolyn is holding up a supermarket and Lynette, Nora, Edie, Austin, Julie, and others are stuck there. Susan, who is not at the store, steals a megaphone and begs Carolyn to allow her to trade places with Julie, but she refuses. The story is featured on the news, much to Bree's horror. The hostage situation results in the deaths of Nora and Carolyn, and Lynette being wounded, but not seriously.

Don't forget that today is Popcorn N' Wednesday,which means tonight's MOVIE NIGHT! :)

Popcorn N' Wednesday: Touching Evil- 10pm
Based on the British crime drama of the same name, 'Touching Evil' centres around David Creegan, a detective returning to work after surviving a near-fatal gunshot wound to the head. Creegan is a man on the edge with a flair for understanding the criminal mind but also has a tendency to bend the rules when it suits him. When he is assigned to the Organized and Serial Crime Unit of the FBI, he is partnered with no-nonsense Susan Branca, who is determined to do things by the book. Although the two clash on many occasions, they are determined to work together to bring down the psychopaths who torment the streets of their city.

Hey peeps! Just one more day left before the So YouThink You Can Dance auditions!We've been getting loads of phone calls asking about the details and such. So here are the answers to your FAQ:

1) Who can come to the auditions?
Anyone! As long as you know you can shake that bootay of yours,you can come down to Panggung Bandaraya on the 16th & 17th of March,from 9am -3pm.

2)What kind of dance styles are you looking for?
ANYTHING under the sun.If you wanna do the salsa,by all means,do it! if you're good at breakdancing, just bring it! Heck,even if you wanna do the 'mak yong' routine,feel free to do so. We are,after all,looking for the best dancer in Malaysia. ;)

3) What should I wear?
ANYTHING! Of course,we wouldn't want you to come butt naked (can't put that on tv!). Just wear anything that'll make you feel comfortable when you dance.

4) What about the music?
Bring your own CD but the music must be by its original artiste,no remixes,no cover versions. The CD must be store-bought. Puh-lease don't download it via limewire/imesh/kazaa,etc.

5) How do I register and what else must I bring to the auditions?
Once you're at Panggung Bandaraya,there will be a registration counter and you'll have to fill in the necessary forms before you get to audition. You will need to bring 2 pics (3R size), 1 copy of your i.c (please note that the age limit is 18-30 yrs old!) and a bottle of water because it's gonna be a long day and you might get real thirsty! ;)

The O.C Yr.3: The Pot Stirrer- 9.30pm
Summer takes part in some sort of boot camp and tries to apply what she learns at the camp to her real life. Sandy and Matt meet with three people, including Bill Merriam, head of the hospital board. The Newport Group is in the running to take care of a project that involves the hospital. Summer's father offers his house to host Kaitlin's birthday party. Marissa and Kailtin seem to be at odds. At the party, Kaitlin shows that she is not daddy's little girl... Seth has an interview with a represenative from Brown University which is on the east coast.

News: Did you know that Alan Dale who played Caleb Nichol in the 2nd season of The O.C is currently starring in the hit series Ugly Betty. He plays Bradford Meade, the owner of posh magazine company "Meade", and is the father of eccentric Daniel Meade.

Las Vegas Yr.2: Magic Red Carpet
When the colorful billionaire Fred Puterbaugh returns to the Montecito, with new girlfriend singing star Ashanti,there is bound to be some great entertainment. But once Ed and Danny discover exactly what brought the incorrigible billionaire back to Vegas, an audacious performance is the least of their worries. Meanwhile, a beguiling magician uses his skills to help Ed catch a slippery thief. Upon hearing news that Madison's band is performing in town, Ephram seeks guidance from Bright, signaling a thaw in the boys' chilly relationship as of late. Finally, Amy's curiousity unearths Hannah's family secret.

American Idol-the results!

Hey all!Did ya guess manage to catch the American Idol result show last night at 11pm? For those of you who missed it,here's a recap of what happened on the show:

Viewers who tuned in a second or two late to last night's American IdolReservoir Dogs-style, to the melody of Stealers Wheel's "Stuck in the Middle With You." While Quentin Tarantino used the song as an ironically playful counterpoint to ear-removal, the Idolproducers use the song -- mangled by the Top 16 -- as brutality itself, nearly making this viewer yearn for ear removal. I guess I liked the coincidence of Sanjaya Malakar singing lyrics like "I don't know why I came here tonight," but the rest of the group-sing was a boring mess. results show may have been shocked to be instantly thrown into a scene of unbearable torture set,

Host Ryan Seacrest kicks things off by sending Lakisha Jones and Blake Lewis to seats in the Top 12, followed by Chris Sligh, Jordin Sparks and finally Phil Stacey, who seems a little surprised. All of the men, in fact, may have been expecting a twist in which they were all sent home, or at least put through some comparable form of public humiliation.

Jared Cotter becomes the evening's first casualty eliminated following a bland rendition of "If You Really Love Me" on Tuesday. Paula reassures him that America obviously likes him. Simon tells him to work on learning to sing to compliment his good looks. Randy advises Jared to find what makes him unique.

Melinda Doolittle and Brandon Rogers, two back-up singers moved to the frontlines, are next through, a no-brainer in Melinda's case and a recognition of potential in Brandon's case. The waiting group is narrowed to six (three in, three out), as Gina Glocksen and Chris Richardson are added to the Top 12 next.

Does anybody get an iota of enthusiasm off of Carrie Underwood in her triumphant Idol return? Compared to Kellie Pickler's bubbly, eager appearance last week, Carrie looks like exactly what she is -- a Grammy winner who probably had better places to be tonight. This was Robo-Carrie in full-effect.

Ryan calls Antonella Barba and Stephanie Edwards to the stage next. In what has to be considered a minor surprised, the seemingly unsinkable Antonella is finally sent home. Stephanie is sent deservingly to the Top 12.

"I know that your fans would love to hear you sing one more time," Ryan says, stretching the truth of what, exactly, Antontella's fans would like to see her do.

Antonella's exit performance is actually better than her Wednesday rendition, not that anybody voting for her was swayed by whether or not she could sing. Ryan doesn't ask the judges to say nice things to Antonella.

Haley and Sabrina, both noticeably terrified, are up next. In the second straight shocker, Haley is safe and Sabrina is heading home.

"Sabrina should be in tha Top 12, dawg. She definitely put it down. America got that one wrong," Randy says.

Randy's correct. By my count, Sabrina was no worse that the fifth best singer left in the competition, behind Melinda, Lakisha, Stephanie and Jordin, but far ahead of Haley and, really, every single one of the men. This isn't one of those eliminations that's likely to cripple the competition, or anything, but it's a disappointment.

The night's final elimination comes down to Sanjaya and Sundance. They should both be going home, but that's not the way this works. The last place in the Top 12 goes to Sanjaya. Sundance is going home. Any chance for a last-second double-elimination?

Paula is speechless. Randy is confused. Ryan asks Simon what went wrong.

"The volume was turned down?" Simon suggests.

Seriously? Sanjaya is awful (his supporters can't even claim that he's had a couple rough weeks since he hasn't been good since the Top 24 began), but Sundance had only one acceptable week and his version of "Jeremy," rehashed from last night, is subpar.

Anyway, sound off on the night's results...

So tonight we're gonna see the ladies belt it out in order to make it to the top 12. Check out the recap:

Singer: Jordin SparksSong:
Song:"Heartbreaker"

Judges take: Randy points out that it's a different show when the girls perform (somebody should warn him that that won't be the case next week). Paula thinks Jordin is exploding into her own artistry. Simon found it a bit manic, but he's sure she'll still be around.S

Singer: Sabrina SloanSong:

Song:"Don't Let Go"

Judges Take: Randy thought it was solid, but not her best. Paula says Sabrina can sing, sing, sing. Simon insists it was robotic compared to Melinda, Lakisha and Stephanie.

Singer: Antonella Barba

Song: "Put Your Records On"

Judges take:Randy wasn't jumping up and down. He wanted some "Wow!" and some "Pizzaz!" and some "Yo!" Paula says she sang it well and looked great. Simon says it was horrible, like "some terrible, ghastly high school musical" performance. Then Simon admits he doesn't remember Haley's name. Unlike Antonella, Haley is able to just nod and accept there's no point in fighting.

Singer: Stephanie Edwards

Song: "Sweet Thing"

Judges take: Randy gives her an "A" for effort, but wasn't entirely down with the performance. Paula warns her about pacing, but calls her darn-near-flawless. Simon wants to see her individuality, but says she should be around next week.

Singer: Lakisha Jones

Song: "I Have Nothing"

Judges take: It wasn't her best for Randy, but he still calls it great. Paula awkwardly quotes several of the songs Lakisha had sung previously. She had passion, talent and believability for Simon, who even says that she looks beautiful.

Singer: Gina Glocksen

Song: "Call Me When You're Sober"

Judges take: This is who Randy always thought that Gina was. This is more or less who Paula believed Gina should be. This was the first time Simon has seen her look comfortable. He hopes Gina makes it through.

Singer: Melinda Doolittle

Song: "I'm a Woman"

Judges take: Randy says a bunch of stuff. Paula calls her likeable, loveable and brilliant. "You little tiger," Simon coos. "I thought we had a pussycat. I love that." Then he throws a barb at Jennifer Hudson for her repeated attempts to call Idol her "stepping stone."

TONIGHT'S BEST: Melinda. Putting anybody else in that top group with her would just be mean.

IN DANGER: Haley's going home. I'd bet on that. I'd also bet on Antonella being unsquishable. With that in mind, I'd be concerned for Sabrina and Jordin. They're going to need votes.

How's it going,peeps? Today's Friday and you know what that means....AMERICAN IDOL IS ON TONIGHT ON 8TV! Check out below for more of Friday night's highlights!

American Idol:8 Boys - 9.30pm

So tonight we get to see the remaining 8 boys perform their hearts out in order to get into the top 12. The list of songs performed on the show are as follows:

Singer: Blake Lewis
Song: "All Mixed Up"
Judges take:Randy, who's never heard the song, loved how current it is. Paula also didn't know the song, but liked it. Hmmm... How hip. The song comes off a 1995 album. Simon didn't understand a word of the song, but says Blake stands out and that it wasn't karaoke. How would Simon know if it sounded like karaoke if he doesn't know the song? Go figure.

Singer: Sanjaya Malakar
Song: "Waiting On the World to Change"
Judges take:Randy calls him on his lack of energy and wonders where Sanjaya's spark went. Paula doesn't agree completely, but sure agrees mostly. Simon's good news is that it wasn't as ghastly as last week and suggests that Sanjaya's hair might be keeping him in.

Singer: Sundance Head
Song: "Jeremy"'
Judges take:Randy, though, found it kind of hot and appreciated the try. Paula says he pulled into his Sundance groove mid-way through. Simon thought he lost his charm and became a generic bar singer. Sundance argues that the shouting-over-singing style was true to the original. Eh? O_o

Singer: Chris Richardson
Song: "Tonight I Wanna Cry"
Judges take:Randy is loving things about everybody and he throws out the in-it-to-win-it idiocy. Who isn't in it to win it, exactly? And what, pray tell, are those folks in it for? The chance to be used as cheap labor on future Ford commercials? You're getting boring, dawg. Paula thought Chris adapted well. Simon criticizes Chris' voice as timid and nasally, but says he sold it.

Singer: Jared Cotter
Song: "If You Really Love Me"
Judges take:Randy calls it solid. Whoa. Paula goes dark and tells him that Jared needs to learn to color his performances. Simon thinks it wasn't original enough. He's slightly disappointed.

Singer: Brandon Rogers
Song: "I Just Want to Celebrate"
Judges take:Randy's conflicted and it was solid. Paula, though, dubs it phenomenal. Simon had high hopes for Brandon, but doesn't think he represented well.

Singer: Phil Stacey
Song: "I Need You"
Judges take:Randy says the high notes are good, but the lower stuff isn't and compares him (weirdly) to Steve Perry of Journey. Paula didn't like the song choice. Simon didn't get it, finding fault with the hat and his eyes and the song and several other things.

Singer: Chris Sligh
Song: "Wanna Be Loved"
Judges take:It wasn't Randy's favorite song choice, but he gives Chris the vocal prize of the night. Paula wants Chris to rise above rather than be comfortable in the middle. Simon thought Chris shouted in the middle, but he did enough to make it through.

TONIGHT'S BEST: Oh my. Blake started the night with mediocre 10-year-old karaoke and an hour later, he stands out as the show's best? Randy, Paula and Simon agree that no more than three or four men deserve to be in the Top 12. Whoa.
IN DANGER: This is tough, since we can't eliminate five people (I'd let both Chrises and Blake stay and start fresh from there). Sanjaya and Sundance deserve to go home, but probably won't. Instead, my hunch is that Phil and Jared are in trouble, but Brandon should be nervous as well.

Stacked: Two Faces of Eve- 11pm Skyler reunites with an old friend, Eve, who she hasn't seen in a very long time. To her surprise, Eve looks completely different from how she did at their previous meeting, and is planning a wedding. Eve then asks Skyler to be her maid of honor.

Holy jeebus krispies! Are we talking about the same So You Think You Can Dance series that was aired in the US? The one that featured a hot looking host,in-your-face comments from the judges and awfully talented dancers?!?

BUT OF COURSE! 8TV brings you nothing but the best and this year,we'll be airing a localized version of the So You Think You Can Dance series. Not only that, but we'll also be airing a localized version of *drum roll please* PROJECT RUNWAY! And no,Heidi Klum won't be hosting this time around, sorry dudes.

Yesterday the press conference for SYTYCD was held at Ruums,KL. Phat Fabes was the emcee and we got to see the big boss of 8TV, Izham Omar gettin' his Michael Jackson groove on! *ROFL*

The O.C: The sister Act- 9.30m
Kaitlin finally makes her way back to Newport from boarding school only to realize some things have changed. She looks and acts so different that Ryan doesn't recognize her when she drops by the Cohens after being told her mother's mail was forwarded there. It seems that her mother forgot to tell her that they had moved. Later, Marissa gets angry at her sister for her bad behavior; Kaitlin is angry at Marissa for not calling her every time something major happened to the Coopers. Ryan tries to have both sisters reconnect and get along like they used to.

On-screen & once off-screen couple, Adam Brody & Rachel Bilson (who play the annoyingly cute couple Seth & Summer in The O.C) are officially DUNZO! Wonder who gets custody of the two dogs they keep as pets?hmmm..

Mary meets her secret admirer but faces legal issues on the road to romance. When a philandering hotel guest (guest star Dave Foley, "Newsradio") loses his wedding ring at a local brothel, Mike agrees to help him find it by investigating the establishment. Meanwhile, Danny and Ed do some investigating of their own to respect a friend's last wish for justice. Also stars Vanessa Marcil, Molly Sims and Marsha Thomason.

Episode summary:
On the final day in Langkawi both girls were getting ready to come back to KL. They found out that there was no more flight to KL. Bell was furious as she has a lot of work waiting for her in KL and blamed Mimi for getting a one-way ticket to Langkawi and not booking a return ticket in advance. Mimi came up with an idea of taking the ferry back to mainland (Kuala Kedah) then catching a bus back to KL. While at the Kuah jetty in Langkawi, the 2 girls meet up with Mimi's ex schoolmate James. James who is on his way back to Penang, convinced the 2 girls to hitch a lift from him to Penang airport and then there take a flight back to KL. James, who still bears a crush towards Mimi since high school, wanted to spend extra time with her. On the way to Penang, he convinced the girls to stay for an extra day where he promised to show them Penang. From shopping for bargained items in Batu Feringgi's night market, dinning in Slippery Senioritas to tracing the Nyonya Baba heritage and catching a locals view of Penang from a trishaw ride, the girls had such a blast and saw Penang from a different point of a view.

Is it me or does Mimi bears a striking resemblance to Angelina Jolie? O_o

Popcorn N' Wednesday: Grease -10pm
Movie summary:
Good girl Sandy and greaser Danny fell in love over the summer. But when they unexpectedly discover they're now in the same high school, will they be able to rekindle their romance?

What, you haven't seen it? Danny is the 'coolest' of the T Birds, a group of High School guys, they hang out with the Pink Ladies. Danny met Sandy during the summer holiday and now she's moved to the area and to his school, Rydell High. Sandy doesn't fit in with the 'cool' scene, and the Pink ladies, "Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee" sings Rizzo, the Pink Ladies leader. A rival gang Scorpians want to race the T Birds car ("Go Greased Lightening ..."). Also there's a National Dance TV show coming to Rydall High ... There are a couple of rival suitors to Sandy and Danny, to liven the relationship up. And 'oh yes' - Graduation. :)

Trivia: Did you know that Bob is the lead singer of a band called The Bob Guiney Band? He has also released an album called ‘3 Sides’.
